Baldur’s Gate 3’s July release was a Necromancy of Thay notebook

The July 21, 2026 product was Baldur’s Gate 3: The Necromancy of Thay, a physical gridded notebook. Our earlier article wrongly implied a new playable Baldur’s Gate 3 release. Penguin Random House identifies it as a licensed notebook, not a novel or game expansion.

Blank pages for your own campaign notes

The notebook reproduces the appearance of the in-game tome, but its pages are for writing and sketching. It does not teach an in-game spell, unlock a quest or replace the item in a save file. It is more relevant to someone who wants a themed journal than someone seeking new BG3 story content.

Check the product description before ordering

Match the title and ISBN with the publisher’s page and check size, page layout and shipping costs. If you want a guide or a novel, read the contents description rather than relying on the cover artwork. A familiar object from the game can appear on stationery without promising additional gameplay.
