The May 15, 2026 Dark Souls report concerned the Original Bonfire Statue, a physical collectible listed by Bandai Namco. Our previous article treated this merchandise return as game-release news. That interpretation was incorrect.
A display bonfire, not software
The item recreates the series’ bonfire for display. Its order or restock date does not establish a new Dark Souls game, remaster or patch. If you want to play the series, this item provides no game licence and is not a required accessory.
Check the actual listing before ordering
Compare the product reference, dimensions and included lighting information. Check the current stock and shipping estimate for your destination; the historical May date is not a guarantee of delivery now. For an international gift, account for shipping and possible import costs. Follow a separate developer or publisher announcement for future video-game releases.
