What Rockstar actually lists

As checked on 18 September 2026, Rockstar’s GTA VI page gives November 19, 2026 and lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It does not list a PC version. That is the useful distinction: the console announcement is evidence, while a PC date or storefront prediction is not a confirmed buying option.

Our earlier article went further by presenting explanations about optimization, future visual features and a later PC launch as established plans. Those explanations were not supported by the sources reviewed here. They should not guide a purchase or a hardware upgrade.

Three checks before spending money

1. Read the platform on the exact offer. A PlayStation or Xbox entitlement does not become a PC licence because the game title is the same.
2. Compare the delivered item with what you need: full game, bonus content, account access and a redemption code are different products.
3. For an unreleased version, wait for the publisher’s own platform listing and requirements. Do not buy a graphics card around an unofficial specification table.

A practical example: if your only gaming device is a Windows PC, a discounted PS5 offer does not solve the compatibility problem. Keep the money available until the version you can actually use has a verified listing. This is a purchasing check, not a prediction about whether Rockstar will ever release another version.
