Build routes and sail

Progress through rounds as Admiral, placing tiles to expand the map and connect rivers with bounties. Choose two tiles from a choice of three, based on where you want your ships to travel and what they can harvest, or discard tiles. Each turn, roll one die per ship to determine how many connected tiles it can travel; a six lets it teleport to a settlement. Divide ship duties between harvesting, attacking and trading.

Trade, quests and combat

Trade bounties and treasure artifacts with settlement merchants, whose requirements change during play. Each round offers two quests that can earn victory points, such as reaching a required yield or collecting treasures. Opponents can block your route: landing on them earns a victory point and some of their bounties. If they attack, you lose some bounties and a life; you can acquire more lives during play. Too much damage or too few victory points ends the run.
