BROKEN LIFE is an atmospheric, fully voiced Point-and-Click Adventure set in a world torn by war. At the heart of this story is Leo, a former soldier returning to his recently liberated hometown. Leo's journey is one of loneliness, exhaustion, and the lingering scars of war. He needs to restore his broken life, cope with his grief, and uncover the fate of his family during the occupation. But what seems clear and simple at first quickly reveals itself as an illusion. The house hides many dark and mysterious secrets… As a solo indie developer from Ukraine, I’ve drawn from my own experiences of living through war to create this narrative. Join Leo on his journey through dark and atmospheric 2D environments, solving puzzles intricately woven into a story filled with tension and emotion. Features: Emotional Storytelling: Experience a narrative that reflects my personal journey through the war in Ukraine. The script was written amidst the chaos and fear of bombs falling on my city and across my beloved country. It's a deeply personal story born from my struggles with depression, panic attacks, and the overwhelming grief of war. BROKEN LIFE is my way to express emotions. Atmospheric Design: Explore carefully crafted gloomy environments, where every detail is designed to evoke the haunting emotions of war—the senseless destruction and eerie emptiness left in its wake. Full Voiceover: All dialogues and cutscenes are voiced in each supported language. This feature is optional and can be turned off for a more text-focused experience. Meaningful Choices: Your decisions shape the story, leading to different outcomes. There are no right or wrong answers, only paths that reflect your choices. Immersive Puzzles: Solve puzzles that challenge your logic and creativity, seamlessly integrated into the narrative. Each puzzle is designed to enhance the story, not just serve the gameplay.
