About this game

A nightmare in a living labyrinth

In Dark Tales from Mexico, a young girl dreams that her grandmother gives her a key. A talking black cat tells her to find a dagger in less than an hour inside a labyrinth that changes shape and reveals her fears. The Sack Man, the monster from a legend about children who go missing, lives in the labyrinth.

Prelude to Alma’s story

This 3D survival horror game is the prelude to Alma Guerrero’s search for her missing grandmother, Esperanza. Along the way, the story explores who Alma is, where her grandmother has gone, and why an enigmatic talking black cat knows the old dark tales. The game is based on Mexican folklore; the saga’s monsters are made as physical sculptures, hand-painted and 3D-scanned using photogrammetry.
