About this game

The Tree Provides, The Tree Protects, The Tree Prevails! Dark Switch is a vertical survival city builder set in the boughs of a gigantic tree. Defend your leafy home against the perils of the creeping fog by managing light and flame. Gather resources, research technologies, and send pioneers to explore the ruins of those who came before: discover their secrets and doom. Set in a world of folk horror and creeping dread, DarkSwitch blends vertical city-building, tower defense, and exploration into a unique strategic experience. Navigate a stunning, dangerous, dark fantasy world enriched by cinematic cutscenes and an atmospheric soundtrack from Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka! Build your city upwards, utilizing both trunk and bough. Limited horizontal space requires a strategy; construct zip lines and stairways to connect your growing settlement layers. Manage raw and processed resources, production facilities, and citizen morale, while fortifying defenses to withstand fog's creeping chaos. Fog drives your citizens to madness and conceals stalking terrors. Fight back by illuminating paths, crafting light-powered weapons, and mastering the raw energy of Solium. Push back the gloom and save your nation. Send scout detachments into the misty unknown to chart new airship routes. Establish far-outposts, and excavate rare resources and artifacts. Encounter strange and lethal creatures lurking in the fog. Uncover the remnants of an ancient civilization. Shape your citizens' destiny through morally complex decisions. Witness various dramatic storylines. Navigate choices where even small actions can spiral into grim consequences.
