In Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, eleven months after the events of the original game, Sam and his companions set out to connect Australia to the Chiral Network and help save humanity from extinction. The story asks: “Should we have connected?” Explore an open world where terrain, weather, day-and-night cycles, earthquakes, sandstorms, forest fires and Timefall shape the journey.

Choose how to face each obstacle

Build infrastructure and use specialized equipment to cross dangerous landscapes. Confront threats with weapons, or avoid them through stealth, decoys and silent takedowns; APAS enhancements can improve skills such as weapon fire rate and reduced movement noise. The Social Strand System lets players leave useful structures, share resources and help with other Porters’ deliveries, with in-game actions affecting one another’s worlds.
