About this game

Offer and included content

Far Cry 2: Fortune's Edition includes the full Far Cry 2 game, released patches and the Far Cry 2 Fortunes DLC. The offer is a Ubisoft Connect activation key and carries the Region Free label. The DLC adds 3 weapons—the silenced shotgun, sawed-off shotgun and crossbow—and 2 vehicles, the Unimog and Quad, for single-player. Its multiplayer content adds weapons and 4 maps: Cheap Labor, Last Resort, Lake Smear and Fort Fury.

A war-torn African state

As a gun for hire trapped in a war-torn African state, you must contend with malaria and make deals with corrupt warlords on both sides of the conflict. Identify and exploit your enemies’ weaknesses, using surprise, subversion, cunning or brute force against their superior numbers and firepower. Fight for 2 rival factions and work your way toward your primary target. More than 70 side missions offer information, weapons and vehicles.

Open-world combat and multiplayer

Explore more than 50 km² without loading screens and choose your route through a living African world. Use wind and fire propagation to surround or trap enemies, and wield Molotov cocktails or flamethrowers. The environment is destructible, including in multiplayer. Enemy reactions can vary: medics drag wounded soldiers to safety, while your reputation and actions can make enemies drop their guns and flee. Multiplayer lets you challenge friends, with the single-player technical features also present.
