Play through a narrative campaign or explore procedurally generated and hand-crafted maps. Develop cities to recruit and upgrade units, gather resources, and capture points of interest while navigating terrain, guarded routes and rival armies. Heroes gain experience and bring their own skills and spells; more than 100 unique heroes are described, each with a starting army, skills and spells.

Lead armies in tactical battles

Choose from 6 factions, each with distinct heroes and units, and combine them with spells, artifacts and unit abilities. Battles are turn-based: ranged units can attack across the field, while Focus earned by dealing and receiving damage can fuel powerful unit abilities. Recruit creatures, use magic from 4 schools, and adapt your tactics to the battlefield. The game offers 3 modes for solo and multiplayer play.
