Meanwhile, the new Russia, sidelined even within what was once its sphere of influence, grows increasingly bitter at the West’s disregard for its efforts. A class of unscrupulous oligarchs, quick to master capitalism, seizes control of the nation’s wealth. In the wake of the Afghan war and the Soviet Union’s dissolution, nationalism, religious fervor, and ethnic tensions ignite the southern flank of the Russian Federation. What’s in this DLC? This DLC expands the timeline of the game to include the years 1989 to 2001, for both the USA and the USSR. As usual, you’ll find a mix of smaller scenarios and massive campaigns (1949–2001).
