My Summer Love: Memories is a romantic visual novel that captures the aesthetics and nostalgia of 90s Full-Motion Video (FMV) games. But this is much more than a traditional dating simulator: here, you have total control over what you say. Thanks to the integration of Artificial Intelligence, you can converse with Yuna in a natural, spontaneous, and fluid way. Every single interaction is unique, reacting in real-time to your personality, your questions, and your answers, creating an immersive experience that changes with every playthrough. Chat Mode: Converse freely with Kang Yuna with no scripts, total freedom, and no risk of a game over. Custom Personality: Modify Kang Yuna's personality with a text description. Persistent Memory: Kang Yuna remembers your previous conversations, creating a deeper and continuous connection. All language processing in My Summer Love: Memories runs completely locally on your computer. No internet required: The game does not require a connection to external servers or third-party services. Independent Engineering: Our Own Custom Engine To make a game with these characteristics possible, commercial tools on the market simply fell short. We needed absolute memory control and parallel processing (multithreading) capabilities to load videos in real-time and generate text dynamically. For this reason, at Soul Shell, we developed our own engine from scratch using C++ and the following open-source libraries: SFML for multimedia management. LlamaCpp for the efficient execution of local Large Language Models (LLMs). DearImgui for a clean, optimized development interface.
