About this game

Explore and shape each dungeon

Paper Dungeons is a fantasy board-game played with dice and tokens. Uncover dungeon tiles, destroy walls and auto-heal as you explore; your choices affect which moves are available. Combat uses your character’s statistics and dice rolls.

Four single-player modes

Choose Boardgame, Campaign, Rogue or Puzzle mode. In Boardgame mode, explore a long adventure across 125 levels, keeping your inventory when your character resets to level 1 between dungeons. Campaign links up to 10 dungeons with an introduction, dialogue between dungeons and a conclusion; your character keeps their level and inventory. Rogue runs continue until your character’s demise, while Puzzle levels show the dungeon layout and call for strategic moves without relying on luck. The game also includes 31 Puzzle levels.

Develop your character and make levels

Choose from 5 character classes, each with unique gameplay, and favor an attribute when you level up. Collect different dice sets to improve your character; monsters also use dice. The game includes 80+ monster types, 4 starting zones with their own monsters and bosses, 3 dungeon sizes and special boss stages. Create and publish dungeons and campaigns with the editors, or play user-created levels online in Adventure or Puzzle modes.
