Total War Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai Collection is a PC Steam digital gift labelled Region Free. It includes Total War: SHOGUN 2 - Dragon War Battle Pack; Total War: Shogun 2 - Fall of the Samurai; and the Obama, Saga, Sendai and Tsu Faction Packs for Fall of the Samurai.

The Boshin War campaign

This standalone expansion is set in 19th-century Japan during the Boshin War period. Its campaign begins in 1864, as Western influence, modernization and industrialization intensify conflict between supporters of the Imperial throne and the Shogunate. Choose from 6 playable clans: Aizu, Nagaoka and Jozai support the Shogunate; Choshu, Satsuma and Tosa support the Imperial throne. The campaign map extends north to Ezo, and railways let you move armies and agents between regions, though enemies can sabotage or block the lines.

Armies, fleets and progression

Field 39 new land units, including Gatling and Armstrong guns, and control units in a new third-person mode. Recruit from foreign powers, including the British Royal Marines, US Marine Corps and French Marines. The 10 new naval unit types include 21 ships in total, such as steam-powered warships and purchasable Warrior-class ironclads. New port siege battles, offshore artillery support and campaign-map bombardments connect naval and land warfare. The collection also adds 3 agent types, updated Ninja and Geisha skill trees, upgradable siege towers, and a 19th-century multiplayer Conquest map. Fall of the Samurai’s avatar content includes over 40 retainers, over 30 armour pieces and a new skill tree; multiple avatars support careers and progression across Shogun 2 and Fall of the Samurai.
