In service for over 25 years, the Class 323 is renown for its distinctive charm, rapid performance, and unique design – having been built by Hunslet, a motive power veteran dating back to the 1860s.Dressed in the latest West Midlands Railway livery, the BR Class 323 is the exclusive traction on the Cross-City Line. This unit works frequent services between Lichfield Trent Valley, Four Oaks and Birmingham New Street, onward to its two southern destinations of Redditch, and since 2018, Bromsgrove, which lies at the foot of the famed Lickey Incline, the steepest sustained mainline gradient in Britain.The Cross-City Line itself is packed with rich history and culture.
