Checks before opening Steam

Activate the code in the Steam client

- If Steam shows the expected game and edition, complete activation and open Library.
- Download only after the title appears in the correct account library.
Verify the result before closing the order
Open the title in Library and verify its edition, DLC list and supported operating system. Activation proves ownership; it does not guarantee that an unsupported computer can run the game. Save the order reference if installation will happen later.
Common Steam activation errors
- Duplicate product code means Steam considers the code already used; check all accounts before contacting support.
- Not available for purchase in your country usually indicates a region mismatch.
- Requires ownership of another product means the code is DLC or an upgrade.
- An invalid code can come from a missing character; copy it again before opening a support request.
Protect your account and proof of purchase
